These sweet newleyweds wanted a romantic summer photography session to close out their amazing year together. We met up for morning golden hour and were blessed with a hazy start then gorgeous light as the sun burned the fog away. Here’s a collection of my favorites!
2013 :: A year of laughter and love :: Madison Indiana Photographer Favorite Photos
What a year 2013 has been! The year started with a newborn boom and only got busier from there. Here’s a little highlight of my year!
Beautiful babes grew into adorable little people…
Not to mention, babes and kiddos who are just beautiful, handsome and full of personality!
And this year’s siblings? Just to-die-for-adorable!
Don’t get me started on the couples. Oh-la-la!
And last, but not least, my wonderful 2013 family favorites!
And of course, my favorite photo of my sweet husband and me. Taken, as you know, down in Florida with my remote shutter.
Thank you all for a wonderful 2013! I can’t wait to see what exciting things 2014 has in store for AHP!

Madison Indiana Family Photographer
This morning golden hour session was a crisp reminder that fall was well underway. I’ve known Brianna since high school when we worked our first jobs together and was so thrilled when she asked me to photograph her beautiful little family. I love seeing her happy and these kiddos were *perfect* for me!
Madison Indiana Photographer // Bray 6 months session
Little Bray is in my first year program Baby Program in Madison, Indiana and I’ve been loving watching him grow over the past 6 months. I photographed little sister last fall not long after mom here found out she was expecting little Bray and we started planning his sessions then! I love all of the ideas that Sarah and I collaborate on for the sessions — and those glasses? we used them at the newborn session too!

Madison Indiana Photographer // Christmas Mini Sessions
I was so thrilled to partner with Cara, who owns the Little Golden Fox (a swank little boutique filled with unique finds, upcycles, handmade goodies and classy gifts). Together, we hosted our Amy Horn Photography’s first Christmas mini sessions. The two of us came together this fall to bring the community Halloween mini sessions and due to popular demand, we noodled our brains to create a classy, vintage Christmas set. Almost all of these items are available for purchase in Cara’s shop (and some things are from our personal collection of goodies).
We greeted 17 families for a day filled with smiles, giggles and amazing memories. We had amazing weather for these Christmas Minis, which were held in Milton, Kentucky (just across from Hanover, Indiana) at my family’s farm. I’ve put together a lengthy collection of my favorite images from the day. I hope you enjoy, find inspiration for your sessions and feel the love that is shared between all of these families.
Thank you all so much for making this season truly a blessed one for me. It’s been quite a year for AHP and I’m so excited to see what 2014 brings!
Enjoy!
jamie & paul // indiana maternity photographer
Jamie and Paul came out to my farm for their beautiful golden hour maternity session. Jamie and I have been besties since my sophomore year in college and this stunning momma was the maid of honor in my wedding. I couldn’t be happier for her and Paul and little man Brisby!

cindi & beckey // cincinnati ohio family photographer
I met Cindi and Beckey downtown Cincinnati and drove a short skip over to Friendship Park, which is apparently a part of Sawyer Park along the Ohio River. This mother-daughter duo not only kept me laughing the entire session, but they also showed me the most humbling example of a beautiful relationship. The connection between these two is unmatched, as is their humor. Thanks for letting me capture this special relationship. I’m so honored to help preserve these memories for the amazing people that I work with.

I wanted to share a few photos from when my little California nephew came to visit us earlier this summer. This little sweetie and my husband’s sister live in San Diego, so we only get to visit with Nate a few days of the year. He just finished his first year of kindergarden and started first grade this week. We love this little guy to bits and he’s always so well behaved for his Auntie Amy’s photo sessions! 🙂 I’ll post more from his 6 year old pictures (camping themed!) in a few weeks.
Here are some that we snapped under my favorite walnut trees on the farm. I’m always preaching about taking quality photos of family, so it’s so great when I get to share the photos I’m always taking too!

tuttle & biggin cousins // Madison Indiana Photographer
I loved meeting this sweet little foursome for our mini-session in beautiful Madison, Indiana. This session was at the Lanier home. These cousins were entered into one of my giveaways and received the most votes. I loved their coordinating outfits and the love they have for one another. Here’s Sarah’s heartbreaking (and heartwarming) entry for the contest that she submitted with a photo of then five cousins:
On October 29th, 2012, the lives of these 5 cousins were forever changed. Caroline (striped shirt), was killed in a head start bus accident on her way home from school. Each of Caroline’s 3 surviving siblings (Clara, Cyrus, & Celia) and her cousin (Matthew) have had to learn too young that life is short, and to savor each moment and memory while they can. Photographs are the best way to capture and preserve a moment in time, so please vote for these cousins to win a session with AHP Photography.
I felt so honored that Sarah entered the contest and even more touched by my fans (even other entrants even voted for these kids!) and their response to this entry.

Little Baby R Pregnancy Announcement // Cincinnati Ohio Photographer
This amazing couple is one of our dearest friends. I couldn’t have been happier for them when they told me about their newest addition and asked me to photograph a pregnancy announcement.
Laura & Nick drove over from the Cincinnati area out to my farm and came armed with some great ideas. These are taken around my farm in Dillsboro, Indiana and I can’t wait to watch them grow together as Little Baby R also grows!
